Gluten free or not?

Recently, there's a funny trend that more and more people are looking for gluten free product, and even the manufacturers are taking this chance to promote their food with big "gluten-free" labels.
Seriously? Are there more people suffering from celiac disease and gluten related intolerance or what?

Please don't board this hype train.
It's not going to make you any healthier.
There's no need to intentionally avoid food with gluten, unless you have celiac disease or other gluten related intolerance/allergy.

Celiac disease is a genetically predisposed disease. If none in your family has this problem, most likely you don't too.
So how do you actually know you have celiac disease?
If there is someone in your close family tree having celiac disease, there is a 10% chance you will have it.
The symptoms maybe from mild to severe intestinal problems, other autoimmune diseases, anemia etc.
If you do think you have celiac disease or other forms of gluten intolerance, just approach your doctor for assessment.

Diet should be individualized, and taken into consideration different individuals' needs.
For example, while low caloric diet is suitable for many, sportsmen need diets with higher energy content (higher calories). High protein diet may be suitable for body building, but it is not suitable for those who suffers from gout or kidney problem.

While taking the extra effort and trouble to search and annihilate specific content from your diet doesn't necessarily improve your health (again, unless you have intolerance or medically advised to avoid them), it may even, in some cases, make you less healthy -- from the imbalanced diet.

So what would I say?
Stay healthy and be watchful of our diet, but at the same time, do not be fastidious and get all stressed up for unneeded things, or we may end up losing sight on the better things in life.
